About our Associate of Divinity Degree
BMA offers a two-year Associate of Divinity degree that can be completed in-person or online.
If you’re passionate about serving the Body of Christ, feel called to ministry, and are over the age of 25—this program may be right for you.
Whether you decide to drive to our campus in Jacksonville or you’re looking for an online seminary in Longview, TX, we provide convenient video conference options for remote online learning.
We also conduct a week-long intensive during the summer at our Jacksonville campus, called Motion Classes. These classes allow students to experience our core classes in an immersive setting.
Compared to traditional associate’s degrees, our program does not include core classes like English, history, government, science, and math.
Who is Eligible for an Associate Degree in Divinity?
Our Associate of Divinity program operates at a junior college level, and students are expected to be proficient in writing, research, and critical thinking to accomplish coursework sufficiently.
Our program is a best fit for mature students who feel called to serve the local church. After graduating, many of our students step into roles like:
- Youth / Young Adult Minister
- Music Minister
- Pastor or Associate Pastor
- Christian Education Director
- Minister of Outreach / Discipleship / Evangelism
Associate of Divinity Course Requirements (66 Hours)
Up to thirty (30) semester hours of work may be transferred from another accredited institution toward our 2 year theology degree.
No more than ten (10) courses at the 300-400 level may be taken. This means that both electives must be courses numbered 100-200.
