Earn A Theology Degree Online Or On Our Campus In East Texas

At BMATS, we are committed to providing the highest quality and most flexible education possible.

That’s why we offer online, on-campus, and hybrid learning opportunities.

You can earn most of your graduate degree online. While you must take a small handful of classes on campus, we offer those courses as a weekend intensive called Motion. You can travel to our campus for one weekend and take the entirety of the course in a matter of days.

We also have student housing for students who wish to attend seminary in person.

Whatever your learning preferences, we offer an option for everyone.

Seminary Degrees We Offer

Master of Divinity Degree (MDiv)

The MDiv is our flagship leadership and ministry degree, tailored for those called to senior leadership in the local church. The MDiv will also provide the deepest and most well-rounded foundation for doctoral and other post-graduate research work if desired.

MA In Church Ministry

The Master of Arts in Church Ministries is intended to dial in on one particular ministry context in church or parachurch ministries, such as Christian education, missionary work, Christian non-profits, pastoral counseling, youth ministry, evangelism, or discipleship.

Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology

The Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology is a two-year (36 hours) program ideal for ministers and lay leaders in associate and support roles in the local church and parachurch organizations. The MAPT is best for leaders working within the local church.

Master of Arts in Religion

The Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) is a two-year (36 hours) program that focuses on the academic side of religious studies, intended for students interested in theology, church history, theological education, and post-graduate work in academia.

Master of Arts in Disciple Making

The Master of Arts in Disciple Making is a unique degree that focuses upon helping professional and/or volunteers in ministry to prepare themselves for obeying Christ’s Great Commission to make disciples.
