Master of Arts (Religion) 100% Online

A fully online degree, the MAR is a two-year degree designed to explore and understand the biblical text, theological ideas, and the heritage of Christianity. It is a foundation for a lifetime of ministry. Lay a foundation, wherever God has placed you!
All courses for the MAR are online. Our online courses allow you to do the work at a time that is best for you. Your best study time is 10 p.m.? 5 a.m.? We can work with that. This degree can work around your work schedule, family obligations, and ministry opportunities. Our online courses are not self-paced, so you won’t fall behind without your professor checking on you. Assignments are due at regular intervals, but you can complete them whenever you want before they’re due.
In our online courses you learn from the Seminary’s regular faculty. You’ll be learning from professors with many years of experience in teaching and local church ministry. You’ll experience rich interactions with them and always be treated as a person, not a number.

Master of Divinity via Distance Education

The MDiv degree can be completely earned without living near the Seminary’s Texas or Arkansas campuses. A vast majority of the MDiv can be completed through online courses. However, the MDiv is strongly oriented towards practical preparation for ministry. Some of these things can only be learned by working together, either in a classroom or out in the real world. Some MDiv classes must be taken in short, intensive Motion classes during the summer and winter. These Motion classes combine online study with a few days of meeting on one of our campuses for practical education. Of the 30 classes required for the MDiv, 8 of them must be taken in a Motion class. The rest may be fully online courses.
